THE MULTI-FUNCTIONAL

TABLE

The goal of this project was to create a table in a non-traditional way. While woodworking isn't my natural media, this ended up being a very fun and eye opening piece. The "four legs and a base" look wasn't on the drawing board, so I decided to take the approach of making it more multi-functioning. The 'x' design was inspired by the ideal that "x marks the spot," therefore that was where you'd put the object. However, the table can also be turned and rotated to hold things in a variety of positions. Turn it upside down, sideways, any direction will allow you to place something on it securely.
