I'm a graphic designer and digital marketing specialist with over 10 years of experience creating thoughtful, purposeful designs for businesses big and small.
My background spans commercial print production, corporate marketing, brand development, and digital campaign design. From managing complex print projects to developing cohesive marketing campaigns, I bring a combination of creativity, technical knowledge, and attention to detail to everything I do.
I believe great design is more than just making something look good—it's about communicating clearly, solving problems, and creating something that works.
A Little About My Journey
My creative journey began with a love for illustration and visual storytelling, eventually leading me to earn my Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design from Lindenwood University in 2017.
Over the years, my career has taken me through several sides of the creative industry. I spent nearly five years working in commercial printing, primarily as a Project Manager, where I developed a strong understanding of production workflows, prepress requirements, scheduling, and the details that bring a design from screen to finished product.
That foundation led to opportunities in corporate marketing, including my work with Keplr Vision, where I supported marketing initiatives for optometry practices across the country. My responsibilities expanded beyond traditional graphic design to include email marketing, digital campaigns, social media graphics, local marketing initiatives, and coordinated print and digital communications.
Along the way, I established DesignsByAlyssa LLC, allowing me to collaborate with independent businesses and clients on everything from branding and event materials to custom illustrations and specialty design projects.
Each experience has shaped the way I approach design today: with creativity, flexibility, and a practical understanding of how great ideas become finished work.

I enjoy the creative side of design just as much as the problem-solving that happens behind the scenes.
Whether I'm developing a new visual concept, adapting an established brand across multiple platforms, or coordinating a project with tight deadlines, I approach my work with curiosity, organization, and attention to detail.
I'm comfortable working independently, but I also value collaboration and the opportunity to contribute to a larger creative team. I take pride in being dependable, adaptable, and someone others can count on to see a project through.
Above all, I believe a positive attitude, strong communication, and a willingness to keep learning are just as important as technical skills.

Beyond the Screen
When I'm not working on a design project, there's a good chance you'll find me with a sketchbook in hand, exploring the outdoors, catching up on movies, or revisiting a favorite old-school video game.
Illustration has always held a special place in my heart. Even with years of professional design experience, there's something about putting pencil to paper that never gets old.
I'm also a proud dog mom to Charlie, my four-legged office companion and self-appointed head of security. When he's not supervising my work, he's usually busy napping, requesting snacks, or joining me for a hike.
I believe creativity doesn't stop when the workday ends, and I love finding inspiration in the little things.

What's Next?
I'm excited to bring my experience, creativity, and enthusiasm to new opportunities. I'm particularly interested in finding a long-term role where I can contribute to a collaborative creative or marketing team, continue growing professionally, and create work that makes a difference.
