New Hope United Methodist Church | Brand Redesign
BRAND IDENTITY DESIGN · LOGO DESIGN · CREATIVE DIRECTION · PRINT & DIGITAL BRANDING
The Challenge
Modernize the visual identity of New Hope United Methodist Church in Arnold, Missouri, while preserving the church's established values and connection to the United Methodist tradition.
Working closely with church leadership, the goal was to develop a welcoming, recognizable brand that communicated growth, renewal, and hope. The redesigned identity needed to feel contemporary and approachable while remaining appropriate for a longstanding faith-based organization actively involved in serving its local community.

The Approach
Began with research into the church's existing branding, United Methodist visual traditions, and contemporary identity design. Developed multiple logo concepts exploring typography, symbolism, and color, presenting several creative directions for review.
Through multiple rounds of revisions and in-person meetings with church leadership, refined the concepts based on feedback emphasizing simplicity, inclusivity, and growth. The final approved design incorporates a streamlined leaf symbol with an integrated cross, representing both the church's faith and its commitment to continued growth.
Paired the symbol with expressive handwritten typography and a fresh green color palette to create a welcoming, contemporary identity. Developed complementary logo variations and supporting brand applications to demonstrate consistency across print, digital, and promotional materials.
